022: MAGIC Live! Day Four Convention Report

The fourth and final day of MAGIC Live! begins with a chat with Mark Kornhauser who was one of the hosts of a general session. He's a very funny and creative guy having worked with Mark Kalin, Jinger and Jeff Hobson.

We also have an interesting discussion with Dale Hindman and Marvin "Mr. Electric" Roy. We finish with a "man on the street" point of view from Jeff Pierce, Mike Hamilton (his first convention) and Paul Gertner (not his first rodeo).

MAGIC Live! Video of the magic museum

Some of our chats on Day 3 take place outside of the room which was transformed into a museum of magic for one day. If people missed it when it was here, they missed it forever. As Stan Allen said, "it was like Brigadoon." This video shows some of the props and equipment from Lance Burton's show, from David Copperfield's stage and TV shows, and Siegfried and Roy's spectacular show at the Mirage. Thanks goes in big part to Lupe Nielsen for coordinating this exhibit.

021: MAGIC Live! Day Three Convention Report

This third day of the MAGIC Live! convention begins with a chat with Charlie Randall (former co-owner of H&R Magic Books) and Ken Scott, one of the presenters of the focus group sessions. Later Gabe Fajuri talks about the mini-auction of magic collectibles that will be held during the MAGIC Live! convention. We also grab a quick hello from Louis Falagna (L&L Publishing). Then Apollo Robbins talks about Joshua Jay's one man show.

We wrap up the day with an interesting talk with another of the conventions presenters and an old mate of mine from the U.K., Ian Rowland and his "puzzle playing cards".
