465: Our Annual Holiday Visit with Murray Sawchuck

It’s that time of the year again to check in with Murray Sawchuck for our annual visit to see what’s been going on in the magic scene in Las Vegas plus to learn what’s new, what’s working and what’s not on the social media front. This is another fun episode as we not only learn about some of the magicians coming in and out of Las Vegas, but Murray gives us some tourist suggestions on places to visit when you’re next in Sin City.

Murray recently exceeded one million subscribers on YouTube and he tells us what is working for him this year and why he uses them and how they can help you with your brand.

396: Another Murray Christmas

It’s that time of year. It’s holiday magic as we return for our annual visit with Murray Sawchuck in Las Vegas. I like to chat with Murray to find out how he has evolved and grown plus get updates on what’s happening on the Vegas scene. I think it will be an interesting comparison to look back over the years to see how a professional magician has evolved and achieved success in this business.

Each year Murray has changed casino venues, changed his act (from CD’s to comedy), married and divorced, got a new assistant, traveled and performed around the world, helped Many charitable organizations, worked on cruise lines, appeared on nationally televised shows, added millions of more YouTube followers, and so much more. Each year we learn something more about Murray and benefit from the wisdom of his experiences.

During our visit to Las Vegas in February 2017, we chatted with several local magicians. The one conversation we did not record was with Murray Sawchuck because we usually reserve that chat for our annual holiday show in December. But we stopped by to enjoy a cup of coffee, some fresh baked cookies and a great chat.

Murray takes a break from putting up his holiday decorations to talk about building your act but not necessarily staying with it so long that it becomes stale and the importance of evolving and building on your act. 336: Murray Sawchuck - A Very Murray Christmas

In our annual visit holiday with Murray Sawchuck, "Celebrity Magician" from Las Vegas, this year he talks about achieving one of his dreams: appearing in the Hollywood Christmas Parade. It shows how determination and dedication to a goal can be accomplished. Murray also gives us a health update on Michael Giles, another Las Vegas magician who is undergoing treatment for stage four pancreatic cancer. Murray also tells us more about branding and marketing yourself, but there is a very interesting story about a failure before a live audience while recording an episode of "The Masters of Illusion" television show. It just goes to show how problems can come to us all.
