Michael Chaut is one of the co-producers of Monday Night Magic in New York City. After 25 years, it is the longest running magic show in NYC. In this week’s episode, Michael shares the history of Monday Night Magic along with a brief history of some of the other magic venues and performers during the 20th century in NYC.

French Champion of Magic, Boris Wild is also a F.I.S.M. winner and currently chairs the jury for those who judge the contests at the World Championships of Magic (F.I.S.M.). This week Boris talks about the development of his act and some of the “behind the scenes” activities that went on while he was creating his act and trying to get a silent close-up act accepted.

As a follow-up to last week’s podcast about magic contests, I took the advice of Noel Britten (President of The Magic Circle) and contacted Edward Hilsum. He is the winner of three separate contests offered by TMC: Stage Magician of the Year, Close-Up Magician of the Year, and Children’s Entertainer of the Year.
