Michael Chaut is one of the co-producers of Monday Night Magic in New York City. After 25 years, it is the longest running magic show in NYC. In this week’s episode, Michael shares the history of Monday Night Magic along with a brief history of some of the other magic venues and performers during the 20th century in NYC.

604 - Andy Nyman - Magician of Many Faces

Award winning actor, producer, writer and magician, Andy Nyman, is indeed a magician with many faces. As an actor, he has played many roles that require physical changes in his appearance from Tevye the Dairyman in “Fiddler on the Roof” to Winston Churchill on “Peaky Blinders” among many others. But he has also collaborated with Derren Brown on many of his mentalism shows that have appeared from England’s West End to New York’s Broadway. As a Member of the Inner Magic Circle, with Gold Star, he is a performing member who keeps up his magic skills as well as his acting chops.

In this week’s episode, Andy talks about some of his various acting roles and his work with his friend, Derren Brown. But the meat of this conversation is hearing and learning from Andy’s commitment to being true to himself and his personal goals. He discusses the “imposter syndrome” and how important it is to “trust the process” and the the little phrase of, “perfect is the enemy of good” and how we should ponder these nuggets of wisdom.

Nathan Coe Marsh knows who he is, what he wants and how to get it. He decided long ago to focus his talents on the corporate market even though he has a background of doing a little (or a lot) of everything from close-up to cruise ships and even doing emcee work and even a show “on the college circuit.” He decided to put his energy into stand-up and stage and trying now to find the right niche in the corporate market for his style.
