822: Pat Fallon - Magically Delicious

From Dublin, Ireland, Pat Fallon joins us as we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day a little early this week. Pat is a performer of the highest rank, Member of the Inner Magic Circle with Gold Star. He is a stage performer as well as performing close-up and his venues are weddings, corporate trade shows, children’s parties, and grand theaters across Great Britain. Pat usually stays within the borders of the U.K. but is known outside his country for his lectures and creativity and good sense of humor.

In this episode, Pat tells us how Ireland celebrates St. Patrick’s Day, also he chats about working at weddings in Ireland and why he doesn’t like performing aboard cruise ships.

809: Tales From The Road

At last year’s “Magic at the Beach” convention in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the organizer, Charles Bach, asked his friends and fellow performers to participate in a panel discussion where they would recount some of their “horror stories” from the road. All of us have had problems getting to or from our shows or even during our shows. For the most part, those are not pleasant memories to remember, much less than to retell to a large group of magicians.

This week, John Shryock hosts a panel of magicians who “bare it all” by retelling some stories that were painful to remember and in some cases were just painful. Featured in this podcast are stories told by John Shryock, Eric Buss, Dan Harlan, Kerry Pollock, Charles Bach, and Greg Frewin. After the panel discussion, we hear from three more of the performers in an outside setting who recount their own “Tales From The Road”: Wacky Chad, Steve Beam and Amazing Adam
