679: William Watt - A Crazy Adventure

Four years ago, William Watt left a lucrative career as a corporate entertainer in Paris, France, to live on the remote island of Mauritius. It is a tourist destination and he seemed to have found his “pot of gold” there. But it seemed like a crazy ides that paid off. William in the sole magician on the resort island performing for tourists nightly. He also has plans to open a small theater featuring close-up magic. 658: From Paris With Love

Bonjour, mon ami! During my recent trip to France, some time was spent in Paris, the "City of Love." I certainly fell in love with the city and its people. And why not! I was warmly welcomed by three of my local magician friends, Alexandra Duvivier, David Stone and Boris Wild. They were so hospitable and generous and even showered me with unexpected birthday gifts! My travel companions (and fellow Texas magicians, Dick Olson and Trixie Bond along with her husband, Mark Axford) watched an amazing show at Le Double Fond that featured Alexandra and her father, Dominique Duvivier. The next day we had coffee at a little bistro with David Stone then met Boris Wild for a tour of the local Museum of Magic. While there we were entertained by Jérôme Cadeac who is the house magician at the Museum.

235: FISM Italy - Day Four

It may have been a little overcast outside, but the weather and the magic was perfect in the convention center. After viewing the stage competition from 8:30 to 12:30, I got to walk around the dealers a bit more, chat with friends, and attend a couple lectures. And of course, it was Thursday which meant magic and Martinis in the evening with friends at the bar.

After watching Luke Jermay's one man show, was the evening gala featuring: Cyril Takayama and Eun Gyeol Lee as co-MC's with Mike Chao, Topas, David Kaplan, Tony Frebourg, Alberto Giorgi, Rob Zabrecky, Sos & Victoria and Samuel.
